Learning through serious games : the case of professional training for students at the College of Education and Training
Abstract
The game-based pedagogy is a modern alternative to the traditional transmissive methods, and it stimulates the involvement and the motivation of the learners in a university or professional context, such is the case of the Higher School of Education and Training. We seek through this contribution to answer our research question on the design and contribution of the use of serious games in the teaching-learning process. The study shows that serious games are an attractive method for the acquisition of a set of digit al, collaborative and creative skills through a game softwareThe submitting author warrants that the submission is original and that she/he is the author of the submission together with the named co-authors; to the extend the submission incorporates text passages, figures, data or other material from the work of others, the submitting author has obtained any necessary permission.
